Children and adults in our school have the opportunity to learn, develop and thrive

At Darrington CE Primary School, ‘Peace’, ‘Friendship’ and ‘Respect’ are the key Christian Values that underpin our Christian ethos. We strive to equip pupils with the skills to become lifelong motivated and independent learners by providing a curriculum that is broad, balanced and relevant to their needs. We work extremely hard to enable all of our pupils to have the enthusiasm, confidence and skills to achieve their full potential.

Our ‘school family’ culture enables us to foster a safe and welcoming atmosphere within which parents, carers, governors, staff and pupils work collaboratively to enable pupils to achieve both academically and socially. We create a real sense of belonging through our caring approach and every child is able to feel confident and positive about themselves both as an individual and as part of our school family.

At Darrington CE Primary School we take great pride in our beautiful school grounds and our indoor learning environments which reflect our passion for striving for the best in everything we do. Darrington CE Primary School is very busy with a wealth of stimulating learning activities that enhance the curriculum. Of course, high standards of literacy and numeracy are our priority but we enrich our traditional reading, writing and mathematics lessons with a wide range of trips, outdoor activities and creative lessons that ‘bring learning to life’ to engage and inspire the children.

This is a very popular school and we are extremely proud of our reputation. This is thanks to a team of professional, talented and committed staff who are dedicated to getting the very best from every one of our pupils. We also have a very supportive Governing Body who play an active role within the life of the school.

Please come and visit us and see our happy and vibrant school for yourselves. We look forward to meeting you.
